As our union colleagues in industries throughout the country lose thousands and thousands of jobs, we may feel that this is no time to press anyone for anything.

We have the president, we have the legislature, we have the historical moment to make the workplace more fair for all workers.
With the employee free choice act, all employees will be able to choose whether or not they want to unionize. This act shifts the decision to form a union or to allow the forming of a union, from the employer to the employee.
In the interest of democracy, in the interest of dignity, in the interest of fairness, please help support the Employee Free Choice Act. Many lies are being spread about this legislation. If you believe workers in America should have the freedom to choose whether or not they want to belong to a union and if you believe workers in America should not be bullied as a result of making such a choice, please write to your legislators immediately to thank them for making a vote on this act possible and to ask them to support it.
Those against this act have a $200 million budget to use to defeat this bill. We don't. We only have the belief that employees should have the right to choose. But to prevail, we must fight.
