Legislative Agenda
The 2009 Legislative Retreat was held September 11-12 at Tamarack Conference Center in Beckley. During this event, AFT members from across the state discussed and decided the union's legislative priorities for the 2010 session. The final agenda will be approved by delegates during the 2009 AFT-WV Convention in October and posted shortly thereafter.

AFT-WV praised the efforts of the House of Delegates in their attempt to provide a salary increase for all public employees and retirees, while citing Governor Manchin as a reason for the failure of the one-time salary enhancement's passage.
