UPDATE: Due to comments from educators and the public, the state superintendent has indicated that he will recommend keeping the graduation credits the same. However, comments are still needed regarding the proposed change in the definition of a lesson plan.

Charter School Policy on 60-day public comment
As required by law, the West Virginia Board of Education has promulgated rules for the implementation of the charter school provisions of the omnibus education bill passed in June. The proposed policy is out on a 60-day public comment, rather than a 30-day comment period thanks to a motion by WV BOE member Debra Sullivan.
New members are eligible for $5,000 in free life insurance for one year. This is only availible to new members and must be activated by completing a form within your first 12 months of membership. After the first year this policy is very affordable.
