Free Accidental Death & Dismemberment Policy for Members
Did you know that every active, working member of our union has $36,250 in accidental death and dismembersment insurance coverage—provided by your union at no cost!
As one of the valuable benefits of AFT membership, AFT and AFT-WV locals pay for this coverage for ALL eligible members of the AFT. Retired members are not eligible for this benefit.
Whether an accident resulting in a covered injury or loss of life happens at work or away, this AD&D insurance coverage pays you or your beneficiary a cash benefit within 90 days.

Free Insurance Coverage Available for AFT-WV Members
New members are eligible for $5,000 in free life insurance for one year. This is only availible to new members and must be activated by completing a form within your first 12 months of membership. After the first year this policy is very affordable.

Insurance Discounts for AFT-WV members
AFT-West Virginia has developed partnership with Liberty Mutual Insurance to allow all AFT-WV members to be eligible for a special discounted group rate. Members will receive 15% off their auto and homeowners premiums in addition to personalized service, 24-hour claims service, and 24-hour roadside assistance for auto policy holders.

FREE ID Protection benefit for AFT members
The AFT is launching a free benefit to protect members against identity theft—the fastest-growing crime in America. We have partnered with CLC ID Protect to offer all members, including retirees, an ID Threat Score as well as assistance in the event you are a victim of identity theft.
