We regret to announce the 2020 AFT-WV Summer School has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 crisis. While we are saddened to cancel our signature event, the health and safety of our members is our top priority. While no one knows what the next days or weeks will hold for us, we cannot imagine a circumstance where it would be safe (or even permitted, if we are still under current emergency orders) to hold an event with 200+ members from all across the state.
This was a difficult decision; however, we felt it was important to decide sooner rather than later. This will allow as much time as possible for members who need continuing education credit or graduate credit hours to find alternate opportunities.
If you have already registered and paid for this year’s Summer School, your registration fee will be refunded to your original method of payment beginning Wednesday, April 8. If you no longer possess the credit/debit card originally used to pay your fee, please email jwood@aftwv.org before April 8th at 9:00 AM to discuss refund alternatives.
