While it’s a little bittersweet to say goodbye to summer, the beginning of a school year is always an exciting time, full of hope for the positive impact we can make on our students. Being an educator is more than just a job; you are the glue that holds our communities together. WV teachers and service personnel work tirelessly to meet our students’ academic, social and emotional needs. These needs have only multiplied in the post-COVID era and so have the challenges of addressing these needs each day. But one fact remains certain…the past few years have demonstrated just how important you are--and continue to be-- to our children and communities.
Please know AFT-WV is here to support you in your profession.
