URGENT!!! PUBLIC HEARING CHANGE!

⚠️AFT-WV just received the message below from PEIA regarding tonight's public hearing⚠️

PEIA’s Charleston Public Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday evening, November 17, at 6 p.m. in the Culture Center. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Culture Center has been closed. No one is allowed in the building.

Because we just received notice about the closure this morning, there is no time to cancel or reschedule the hearing, so PEIA representatives will be outside the entrance to the Culture Center this evening beginning at 5 p.m. to take any comments and to answer questions about the 2022 Financial Plan. There are no changes proposed for Plan Year 2022.

Since we cannot be inside, we request that anyone attending this event dress warmly, and, of course, wear a mask and practice social distancing. Our staff will take comments, answer questions, and explain the plan to anyone who chooses to attend.

If you choose not to attend, you may still submit comments or questions about the plan to the PEIA Finance board via e-mail at PEIAComments@wv.gov or via US mail to: PEIA Public Hearing Comments, 601 57th St SE, Suite 2, Charleston, WV 25304-2345.
We regret this unavoidable change and any disruption it may cause.
