I have teaching for 29 years.

What’s the best thing about your job?

The children!

How did you become involved or why did you join the union?

I am a building representative, and served as the secretary/treasurer of the Webster County Federation of Teachers. I am currently the vice-president of the Webster County Federation of Teachers. I also am a member of the AFT-WV executive board, serving as secretary for the state federation. I have served on both the Summer School and Professional Issues Conference committees.

Describe a rewarding experience that you have had through your involvement in the union.

AFT has given me so many, so I cannot pick just one!

What hobbies and interests do you enjoy in your leisure time?

In my spare time, I enjoy sewing and cake decorating.
