AFT-WV will conduct its annual Legislative Summit on September 8-9, 2023 at the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton in Huntington, WV. 

Members from across the state will come together to discuss and determine the legislative priorities of AFT-WV. 

The priorities of the group will be presented to and voted upon by delegates during the 2023 AFT-WV Constitutional Convention.

The event begins with a reception at 7 PM on Friday, September 8th. The meeting will begin at 8:30 AM on Saturday, September 9th, and should conclude before noon. 

Local unions will be responsible for the cost of attendee lodging

UPDATE- October 8, 2024

Your collective voices have been heard- SB2009 passed and is completed legislation. This $87 million dollar allocation combated a mid-year increase of premiums of up to 30%. This would have been in addition to the planned increases already incurred by our members. Thank you for your action and attention to this important legislation! Please reach out to lawmakers to thank them for supporting this allocation to PEIA and making sure there were no mid-year increases to our insurance!  The SBA bill is scheduled for action today so
