The AFT has always been a solutions-driven union, and our new campaign, launched during TEACH on July 21, proves it once again with a fresh, practical approach to strengthening public education. As AFT President Randi Weingarten pointed out during her keynote speech, the $5 million, yearlong campaign, “Real Solutions for Kids and Communities,” stands up against attacks on public schools and offers real-world solutions to build up, rather than break down, our communities.

AFT-WV will conduct its annual Legislative Summit on September 8-9, 2023 at the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton in Huntington, WV. 

Members from across the state will come together to discuss and determine the legislative priorities of AFT-WV. 

The priorities of the group will be presented to and voted upon by delegates during the 2023 AFT-WV Constitutional Convention.

The event begins with a reception at 7 PM on Friday, September 8th. The meeting will begin at 8:30 AM on Saturday, September 9th, and should conclude before noon. 

Local unions will be responsible for the cost of attendee
